Pedestrian killed in SUV crash on Washington Ave., police say

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – The coroner is on the scene of a crash at the intersection of Burdette Ave. and Washington Ave.

Evansville Police tell us the crash was reported at 3:50 p.m. after a female pedestrian was struck by a black SUV.

That is near the Ascension St. Vincent hospital.

Officers say the driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital for a blood draw.

Police on the scene initially said the pedestrian had been seriously injured.

Now they say she has died.
