Bhaskar met with a road accident on November 7 and was declared brain dead on November 9. The victim’s wife Rani gave permission to donate organs of the deceased. A total of three organs, including the liver and two kidneys, will be donated to three needy patients.

Hyderabad: Family members of a 47-year-old private employee Sangishettti Bhaskar, resident of Vidyanagar, Chityala, Nalgonda, who was declared brain dead by the attending team of doctors, have decided to donate organs to needy patients.

Bhaskar met with a road accident on November 7 and was declared brain dead on November 9. The victim’s wife Rani gave permission to donate organs of the deceased. A total of three organs, including the liver and two kidneys, will be donated to three needy patients.


Jeevandan Telangana expresses its deep gratitude to the family of Sangishettti Bhaskar, whose noble decision saved lives and inspired them. The Jeevandan program continues to focus on raising awareness and facilitating organ donation in Telangana.

Telangana’s Jeevandan program has achieved a major milestone with 153 brain dead donations this year, and today marked the 154th donation, responsible for Jeevandan, said Dr Sree Bhushan Raju.
