Comstock man arrested in multi-agency human trafficking operation

MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) – A Comstock man was arrested Friday during a multi-agency human trafficking/sextortion operation in Rogers Heights, Mecosta Township.

The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, which hosted the operation, identified the man as Erik Lundquist, 53. He was arrested for solicitation and battery on a minor (under 16 years old) and OWI.

A 48-year-old man from Grand Rapids was also arrested for solicitation/prostitution (persons 18 years and older). He is awaiting arraignment.

The sheriff’s office said adults posing as children served as decoys in the operation, and reiterated that no children were involved or injured.

In total, the task force consisted of the Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office, Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office, Montcalm County Sheriff’s Office, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office: Michigan, Big Rapids Department of Public Safety, Ferris State University Department and City of Mt. Pleasant Public Safety.
