Student emergency services hold a stand at Syracuse High School

SYRACUSE, Utah – A student emergency placed Syracuse High School under duress early Monday, though few details about the incident have been released.

School was suspended at 9 a.m. “out of an abundance of caution,” according to the Davis School District, which added that one student was in a medical crisis.

Emergency services responded to the school and attended to the student before the hold was quickly lifted.

During the waiting period, students and teachers were told to stay in their classrooms and keep the hallways clear. In the classroom, students and teachers are advised to go about their business as usual.

“We understand that your student may be experiencing concerns related to this incident, and we will have members of our District Crisis Response Team on site to support our students and staff as needed,” the district wrote in an email to parents .

Classes have now resumed.
