Pedestrian killed in Lexington crash identified

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) – A pedestrian killed in a crash in Lexington has been identified.

Police were called to the crash on Winchester Road near Ashton Drive around 6am on Monday evening.

An adult female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Fayette County Coroner identified the victim as 43-year-old Angelina Wells.

The driver remained at the scene and no charges are expected.

Officials are investigating the cause of the crash.
