Figures from the Kansas City Police Department show that this has been happening for years.

In 2021, crooks stole approximately 4,300 cars in the Kansas City, Missouri area.

More than 6,500 were stolen in 2022.

In 2023, 7,500 cars were reported stolen.

The increase is worrying some.
