The family of a mother who died in a horror crash have released a tribute to her. Jayne Green, 42, from Warrington was a passenger in a vehicle involved in an accident on the A56 Chester Road, Walton in Warrington on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Police were called to the main road at 6.08pm following a report of a crash involving a white Seat Leon and a silver Nissan Note. The driver of the Seat, a 65-year-old man, and the backseat passenger of the Nissan, Jayne Green, died at the scene.


Two other occupants of the Nissan were taken to hospital with serious injuries. In a tribute, Jayne’s family said: “Jayne, a mother, sister, daughter and partner, will be sadly missed by friends and family.”

Cheshire Police said the family have asked for privacy at “a time of deep sadness” as they support other relatives who traveled in the same car and receive specialist medical treatment for serious injuries. The Daresbury Expressway was also closed locally Chester Intersection after the incident.


Motorists were urged to avoid the area and find an alternative route. Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service Crews released six victims trapped in two cars. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has a dashcam or CCTV should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting IML 1960086.
