First warning forecast: another soaking rain

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Get those umbrellas ready for Wednesday as another round of much-needed rain is coming to the Midstate.

There’s a lot more chill to start our Tuesday, with many of us waking up in the 40s this morning in Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky. It will be a cooler day everywhere with highs around 60 degrees and plenty of sunshine.

It will be chilly again tonight with highs around 40 degrees tomorrow morning. Clouds will gradually increase late tonight as our next storm system approaches the Midstate.

NEXT ROUND OF RAIN

Our next cold front approaches the Midstate on Wednesday and will bring us another soaking rain across the area. Wednesday will start dry, but the first showers will arrive around the beginning of the afternoon and become increasingly widespread during the day.

We should be on the lookout for heavy rain showers and don’t be surprised if there are a few thunderclaps but there is no serious weather threat. Highs Wednesday will top out in the mid 60s.

The rainy spells will continue until Wednesday night and into early Thursday morning, before drying out on Thursday afternoon. Highs on Thursday will remain in the mid 60s.

Sunshine returns Friday with highs in the mid 60s and lows in the 40s.

The weekend is looking nice right now with temperatures in the low 60s on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Saturday it will be mainly sunny and Sunday afternoon we will only see a few clouds.

Clouds will thicken again on Monday with highs around 60 degrees.
