“This unfortunate accident was preventable and we mourn the loss of our colleague.” Sheriff Duane Lewis said. “We ask the community to keep his family in their prayers as he leaves behind a wife and small children.”

Lindsay is survived by his pregnant wife Jazmine and their three other children.

Lindsay had been with the Berkley County Sheriff’s Office since 2019.

A GoFundMe was created for Lindsay’s wife and children.
