Rogers was arrested in April 2023 for tampering with evidence in connection with the death of 56-year-old Patrick Weber of Kearney.

According to the arrest affidavit, on March 13, 2023, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a report of human remains in the area of 66th Street and Rainwood Road.

Kearney Police were contacted and advised Bellevue Police not to tow the car.

Investigators obtained financial records, with a bank statement indicating an attempted Cash App transaction, as well as two attempted Instacart transactions on March 2 and March 11. These attempts totaled $437.79.

Subpoenas were issued to both Cash App and Instacart, with investigators learning that accounts had been created using Weber’s information and information associated with the address where Weber’s vehicle was found.

Court records showed the IP address belonged to Rogers.

Investigators then executed a search warrant at the Bellevue apartment on April 13, 2023. The affidavit shows Weber’s belongings were inside, including his cell phone and credit card. Authorities also found a small bag of meth.

Rogers was taken into custody for tampering with the controlled substance and evidence, but charges were later added.

Rogers’ sentencing will take place in Sarpy County District Court on December 12 at 2 p.m.
