TPD identifies body found on southwest side

UPDATE 2:00 PM 11/12:

Tucson police identified the body found Monday in the 1900 block of West Ajo Way as 39-year-old Carlos Torres.

According to a TPD news release, Torres’ body was discovered in an area home by his fiancée.

The investigation is ongoing.

Tucson police are investigating a body found this afternoon on the city’s southwest side.

According to TPD, officers responded to reports of a body with signs of trauma in the 1900 block of West Ajo Way, west of South Mission Road, just after 2 p.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no suspects in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
