Nevada man sentenced to 16 years for sexually exploiting teenager

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (KOLO) – A Las Vegas man has been sentenced to more than 16 years in prison after a jury found he sexually exploited a teenager.

Kenton Hardy King, 29, will serve a prison sentence of 16 years and eight months, followed by 10 years’ probation for coercion and enticement, child sexual exploitation and possession of child sexual abuse material.

The court ruled that King met a 15-year-old through online chat platform Omegle. In June 2020, he forced and seduced the victim into sexual activities with him and for the purpose of producing sexually explicit material.

King was found to be in possession of child sex abuse material on two of his mobile phones.

He also threatened to send images and videos to the victim’s family, friends and classmates. King was found guilty in June 2024.
