Castle football ready for the regional

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) – Now onto the playing field, where we have just six teams left in the high school playoffs: Owensboro Catholic, Owensboro and Union County in Kentucky, and Heritage Hills, Reitz and Castle in Indiana!

The Knights are still alive, thanks to their 31-21, Class 5-A sectional championship victory over conference rival North!

This time of year, when the weather starts to cool, a stout defense and a good running game are critical to playoff success, and Castle has both. Benny Patterson the third and Gavin Leach lead a ball-hawking ‘D’, while Max McCool is the workhorse behind a stout attacking line that is Castle’s stabilizing force in attack.
