New FEMA disaster recovery centers are opening temporarily in Alachua and Putnam counties

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Mobile FEMA disaster recovery centers are opening in Alachua and Putnam counties.

Residents affected by a hurricane that hit in 2024 can visit the centers to discuss options for FEMA assistance.

Both centers opened on Tuesday, November 12.

PROVINCE OF ALACHUA:

A FEMA center opens in High Springs at the Old School Community Center.

The center is open on Wednesday, November 13 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The center is located at 23760 NW 187th Ave High Springs, FL, 32643.

PUTNAM COUNTY:

A mobile FEMA center opens in Palatka at the Putnam County Fairgrounds.

This center is open from Monday to Sunday from 9am to 6pm.

The address is 117 Yelvington Road, East Palatka, FL 32131.
