Brother of Sicily sinking victim speaks out in new interview (exclusive)

The brother of Chris Morvillowho was among the seven people who died then called a superyacht Bayesian sank in August he speaks out in a new interview about the tragedy that took place off the coast of Italy.

In an exclusive clip from IMPACT x Nightline has disappeared within 16 minutes: the sinking of the superyachtGreg Morvillo says he “broke down” crying after learning of his brother’s death in a phone call on Monday, August 19.

During the interview, which will only be available on Hulu starting Thursday, November 14, Greg reveals that he “can’t stop thinking” about what the final moments were like for the seven victims.

“I keep thinking about the last moments on the ship,” says Greg. “It’s terrifying. It’s terrifying.”

He adds: “I can’t imagine what they were going through. I can’t imagine what it felt like or what they knew. It’s impossible to avoid my thoughts. But I can’t stop thinking about it.”

Chris was the lawyer for the British technology entrepreneur Mike Lynchwho also died after the superyacht capsized. Mike’s 18-year-old daughter also died, as did Chris’ wife Neda.

A source close to the survivors previously confirmed this to PEOPLE Mike celebrated his acquittal for fraud on the yacht when it sank. Chris represented Lynch in the lengthy legal saga in the United States dating back to 2011.

Ed O’Callaghan, a former Justice Department official and close friend of the attorney, previously told PEOPLE that Chris hoped to spend time with his wife and their two adult daughters, Sabrina and Sophia Morvillo.

“He missed a lot,” O’Callaghan said at the time. “He just got buried putting together the defense for Lynch. And I think he really thought that the near future would be a great payback time with the family.

In the new episode of IMPACT x NightlineGreg claims that he knew in his heart that a call would come about his brother’s death after hearing that the yacht had capsized. Still, he was devastated when the news was confirmed to him.

“I hung up and broke down,” Greg recalls. “Whining is the only way I can describe it. It was terrible.”

The episode also interviews numerous people who were close to Mike and his family, including two friends of his daughter Hannah, Marko Kresojevic and Benedict Macklow-Smith.

Captain Glenn Shephard, sailing yacht captain and star of the Bravo reality series Below deck sailing yacht, The Sunday times correspondent danny fortson and more are featured in the episode, moderated by Nightline co-anchor Juju Chang, too.
