‘Strangely comfortable’ working with him

In Vanity fair‘s annual Hollywood issuethe Challengers actress, 28, opened up about working with her boyfriend Tom Holland28, whom she met in a 2016 chemistry class Spider-Man: Homecoming.

When asked if it is “weird” to act opposite Holland, her opponent in three Spider Man movies and an upcoming movie from director Christopher NolanZendaya said it was actually “strangely comfortable.”

“It’s like second nature. You feel extra safe with the person you are acting next to. I enjoy working with him,” she continued.

“He is so talented and so passionate about what he does. He always gives everything one thousand percent, even when he is completely exhausted. I really appreciate that about him. It feels quite normal. That’s how we met. Literally, in a chemistry class,” Zendaya added.

Although rumors of a romance between Zendaya and Holland followed the two for years, it wasn’t until 2021 that the pair confirmed they were dating.

In one interview with GQ in November, Holland opened up about the challenges of dating Zendaya while both are in the public eye.

“One of the disadvantages of our fame is that we no longer really have control over privacy. A moment that you think is between two people who love each other very much is now a moment that we share with the whole world ” he says. said.

For her part, Zendaya emphasized in the same interview that they try to keep some things private.

“The equal feeling (that we both share) is that if you really love someone and care about certain moments or things, you wish they were yours,” she said at the time.

That said, the two have shared a glimpse into their relationship, including how Holland enjoys being the handyman at his girlfriend’s house.
