Man dies after single-vehicle crash in Chippewa County

CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – A man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Chippewa County.

According to a press release from the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 1:41 a.m., the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle crash that ejected the driver from the vehicle.

Investigation reveals that 27-year-old Kyle Baker of Bloomer, Wisconsin, was driving north on Highway 40 when his vehicle left the roadway, entered the ditch and overturned several times on Highway 40 near County Highway B.

Life-saving measures were administered, but Baker died at the scene.

According to the press release, alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the crash.
