Beloved former Hazard teacher dies

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) – Ann Quillen, age 91, of Hazard died Tuesday at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard.

Ann was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Hazard. Ann was a teacher in the Hazard City School System for over 30 years.

She was a founding member of Alpha XI Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi and served in many different roles. She was known for her entertaining performances at the annual Founders Days programs.

Arrangements are being handled by Maggard’s Mtn. View chapel. Visitation will take place at Hazard First Baptist Church, where the family will receive friends Saturday, November 16, from 11 a.m. to noon.

The funeral service will follow on Saturday at 12 noon.
