Franciscan Health in Michigan City is offering a free suicide prevention course

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WNDU) – Franciscan Health in Michigan City is offering a free suicide prevention course in December aimed at saving lives.

Franciscan hopes to reduce suicidal behavior by offering innovative, practical and proven suicide prevention training.

According to the CDC, suicide is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, with one suicide occurring every 11 minutes.

The upcoming suicide prevention course will take place from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM CST on Thursday, December 12 at the Michigan City Police Department.
