Five arrested in Wolverhampton as police aim for guns

Five people have been arrested during anti-gun patrols in Wolverhampton.

Patrols took place in the city center and areas of Whitmore Reans where there are concerns about gun ownership, West Midlands Police said.

One man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary where a knife was seen, as well as a number of other burglaries and thefts from vehicles.

Another man fled from officers in West Park but was apprehended after a short chase, police said. Three other people were arrested on suspicion of burglary, intimidation and domestic violence.
