Twelve soldiers injured in bus crash on NJ Turnpike

A dozen military personnel and a truck driver were injured when a tractor-trailer struck a bus on the New Jersey Turnpike in Camden County, according to authorities and news reports.

A disabled northbound bus was straddling the right lane and right shoulder when a tractor-trailer struck it about 12:55 a.m. near milepost 25.6 in Runnemde, state police said.

Police said the bus was occupied by military personnel traveling from Maryland 6abc.com. The truck driver was also injured.

State police told NJ Advance Media the injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The crash is still under investigation.
