Chicago City Council Special Meeting Scheduled for Thursday; Property tax levy on the agenda

CHICAGO – Mayor Brandon Johnson will chair a special meeting of the The Chicago City Council on Thursday.

The meeting starts at 2 p.m. in the Council Chamber.

The agenda includes ordinance O2024-0013679, which approves the levy of property taxes for the 2025 fiscal year.

The meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday, was canceled and moved to Thursday.

A press conference is expected to follow the meeting.
