New York Knicks are pushing for an intriguing hornet trade

The New York Knicks have had a disappointing start to the 2024-2025 NBA season. After losing last night to the Chicago Bullsthey dropped to 5-6 through their first eleven games.

Granted, it was always going to take some time for the Knicks to gel. They have a lot of new players and no one should have expected them to be firing on all cylinders at the start of the year.

However, there are some weaknesses that have been noticeable.

First and foremost, New York needs more firepower. That need could lead them to explore the trading market to see what is available and what they can acquire.

Blurred world has proposed an intriguing trade for the Knicks. In the trade proposal they would focus on young people Charlotte Hornets’ guard Tre Mann.

In exchange for Mann, New York would give up Tyler Kolek, Cameron Payne, Matt Ryan and a 2025 second-round pick.

While the Knicks appear to be giving up some significant value, Mann played very well to start the season. He would give New York the kind of offensive ability they need off the bench.

Through his first ten games to start the year, Mann averaged 14.8 points per game, along with 3.3 assists and 2.9 rebounds. He has shot 44.4 percent from the floor and knocked down 38.8 percent of his three-point attempts.

At just 23 years old, Mann would also give the Knicks a potential long-term guard.

This is the kind of move that could complete the roster perfectly. It doesn’t always happen that you get the chance to recruit a young and dynamic guard. If they could get this trade done, they should continue it.

That said, it’s still very early in the season. There’s no reason to panic, but if the right move comes along that would improve the roster, New York shouldn’t hesitate.
