Teddi Mellencamp is ‘afraid’ of what ex Edwin Arroyave is ‘willing to do’ in divorce: report

Teddi Mellencamp is “scared” of the lengths her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, will go to to “look good” after her alleged affair with a horse trainer caused their split.

Arroyave is “determined to come out on top in this divorce,” a source said told the American Sun Wednesday.

“He wants to look good and keep custody of the kids, so he’s willing to do anything to make that happen.”

The source claimed that the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 43, “is afraid things have gotten to this point and has become increasingly afraid of what he is willing to do.”

“Her support from her friends, especially Kyle Richards, has helped her get through this mess,” the insider added. “If Teddi didn’t have the support of her friends and her love for her children, I’m not sure what Teddi would do.”

The source further shared that Mellencamp continues to prioritize the “well-being” of their children amid the public division. The former couple share daughters Slate, 12, and Dove, 4, and son Cruz, 10.

“She hates that the kids are being dragged through this and she hates it even more so how public it has become, so protecting her kids from all this negativity is her top priority,” the insider shared.

“As a result, she is very disappointed that Edwin cannot have the same grace for her.”

However, a source told us that there is “zero truth to the report that Edwin Teddi is trying to take down.”

“He has always wanted to keep this matter amicable for the entire family,” the insider added.

Representatives for Mellencamp and Arroyave could not immediately be reached for comment.

Yesterday, Page Six revealed that Mellencamp was Arroyave is reportedly cheating on her with one of her old friends and horse trainerSimon Schroeder.

Insiders told us that Mellencamp and Schroeder began their alleged affair in May and later traveled to Florida together for an equestrian event while his wife, Karli Postel, was in California giving birth to their second child.

“Karli found it suspicious that her husband was in Florida when she was in labor,” a source told the Daily Mail on Wednesday.

Postel allegedly discovered the affair when she saw inappropriate text messages between Schroeder and Mellencamp upon their return to California.

‘They have confessed. Teddi promised it wouldn’t happen again,” the Daily Mail source said, adding that “Karli didn’t tell Edwin when she found out” because “she was willing to give Simon another chance.”

However, the situation changed last month after Postel found out that the alleged affair had continued and had become ’emotional’.

Postel then told Arroyave about the situation and Mellencamp filed for divorce shortly afterwards.

“She filed for divorce from Edwin so he wouldn’t have the opportunity to accuse her of adultery,” the Daily Mail source said. “It is said that the marriage ended because Edwin cheated on Teddi, but in reality it is the other way around.”

The co-host of “Two Ts in a Pod” initially surprised Bravo fans when she filed for divorce from Arroyave on November 1. He too a week later filed an application to annul their marriage and requested them to honor their prenuptial agreement.

Initially Mellencamp announced the divorce in an Instagram post on November 2.
