Police ask for help finding stolen pickup in southern Barrie

Barrie police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a stolen pickup taken from a southbound home Thursday morning.

At 5:54 a.m., officers were notified of a car theft that occurred overnight.

Police discovered a gray 2024 Dodge Ram Sport with a black hood, black tonneau cover, sunroof, black running boards and Ontario license plate CB25560 parked in the driveway of the southwest Barrie owner’s registered home on the moment of the theft.

The pickup, which was parked at 5 p.m. Wednesday, was stolen at 2:20 a.m. Thursday, according to police.

Police said the theft was captured by a nearby video surveillance system.

Attempts were made to locate the stolen pickup, but it has not been found.

Police are calling on the public to keep an eye on the truck and call 911 if it is spotted.

Police are also reminding anyone who owns a vehicle to ensure it is locked, valuables are removed, parked in a garage if possible and they should consider using aftermarket products available to protect valuables to secure.
