Man dies in crash in Bedford County

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WDBJ) – A man is dead after a fatal crash in Bedford County on Wednesday, according to Virginia State Police.

Police say officers received reports of a single-vehicle crash on Bold Branch Road, three-quarters of a mile south of Blue Sky Drive, at 9 p.m.

According to police, the driver of a 1991 Chevrolet C-15 was traveling south and ran off the right side of the road, striking a tree.

Police say the driver, Tyrin Deshane Martin, 30, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
