FBI Omaha seeks assistance in child sexual exploitation investigation

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The FBI Field Office in Omaha is sharing a national plea for help regarding an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.

Several photos of an unknown man were shared publicly Thursday morning. It is believed the man could have crucial information about identifying a minor victim.

The man is called John Doe 49.

He was seen with a child in a video obtained by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Data from the video indicates it was produced on or before July 2024.

John Doe 49 is described as a white male between 45 and 65 years old. According to the report, he is bald and has a dark goatee.

“He has at least five visual tattoos: the word Dabby on the right side of his chest, followed by possible additional unknown text on his left bicep, and additional tattoos on his left and right forearms and right bicep,” the report said.

Anyone with information on John Doe 49 is asked to do so submit a tip online or call the FBI’s toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI (1-800-225-5324).

The FBI emphasized that no charges have been filed in this case and that the man depicted as John Doe 49 is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
