McKinney police took a third suspect into custody Saturday on murder charges in connection with a double homicide at an intersection, according to a news release.

Detectives took the third suspect, a juvenile, into custody Wednesday evening, according to the release, and said there is no evidence of any additional suspects at this time.

On Saturday, shortly before 6 p.m., officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting in the area of ​​Colorado and Chestnut streets, near South McDonald Street, and found Kajarryawn Mack, 17, and La’Marrya Ransem, 22, suffering from gunshot wounds . said.

Two people were arrested over the weekend in connection with the double homicide, but their involvement remained under investigation Tuesday, said Darryl Saffold, public information officer for the McKinney Police Department.

Police confirmed Thursday that Roman Miguel Castillo, 21, was among the suspects taken into custody earlier this week. The other person previously taken into custody was also a minor.

Due to Texas state laws protecting the privacy of juveniles, the department has stated that they cannot release any further identifying information about the juvenile suspects in this case.

Collin County records show Castillo was arrested Sunday on a charge of capital murder of multiple people, a misdemeanor, with bail set at $2 million. No attorney was listed in the documents.
