One dead after crash in Fannin County

FANNIN COUNTY, Texas (KXII) – One person is dead after a crash in Fannin County Thursday morning.

According to Lt. Frank Deeater of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 10:30 a.m. on Hwy 56, near FM 87, west of Bonham.

Officials said five people were sent to hospital and four were flown by helicopter.

The crash is under investigation, but officials at the scene said it appeared one vehicle crossed the center line.

Hwy 56 is still closed at this time.
