Man suspected of sexually abusing family member

PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – A man has been indicted on multiple charges related to the kidnapping and sexual abuse of a family member, according to grand jury indictments released Thursday in Putnam County.

Joshua E. Davis, age unknown, is named in a 20-count indictment.

The charges include first-degree sexual assault, kidnapping, abuse of an incapacitated adult, kidnapping, second-degree sexual abuse, incest and sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or other person in a position of trust.

The abuse of the family member is alleged to have occurred between August and September 2023, according to the indictment.
