Next Oshi no Ko‘s controversial conclusion, Aka Akasaka has revealed some new details about what’s to come. Akasaka’s new project will be a fantasy romance manga. It takes place in a fairytale world and is about the love between a prince and a princess.

He talks about how fame and popularity are no longer tied to the entertainment industry as YouTube and the Internet have taken over the industry. He said:

However, today the entertainment industry has changed dramatically. Talents (entertainers who frequently appear on TV in Japan) can no longer avoid the internet, YouTube has become extremely popular, films are watched with subtitles, plays are increasingly based on anime and manga and there is talk of suicide as a result of a reality show. Considering all these facts, I then decided to choose a contemporary subject.
