Sylvester Stallone offers heartfelt support to Mike Tyson ahead of Jake Paul’s fight

It’s not over until it’s over. Nearly two decades after Mike Tyson’s retirement fight, the former world heavyweight champion returns to the ring, just as “Rocky” actor Sylvester Stallone did in his 2006 film. Rocky Balboa.

Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is “Rocky Balboa” retold almost twenty years later

Unlike the fictional Balboa, Tyson, 58, is not being welcomed back to the sport against a champion, but against an influencer and boxer with championship aspirations: Jake Paul (10-1). Prime versus prime, there’s no telling what Tyson would have done to Paul in his heyday, but now the real Rocky Balboa story will be put to the test Friday in Arlington, Texas, with millions of viewers around the world on Netflix.

Although it is not self-evident that Paul vs. While Tyson could have a very different ending than Rocky’s last fight (which somehow went the distance), many experts predict it will be a quick and easy night for the younger and faster Paul.

Aside from that, A-list actor Sylvester Stallone sends Tyson his best wishes in the final hours leading up to the fight, hoping his old friend will do the seemingly impossible.

“Of course this is a fantasy picture and I enjoy looking at it,” Stallone said of an image featuring him as Rocky and a young Tyson. “But I’ve known Mike since the day he won his first title and let me tell you, this is the toughest superhuman fighter of all time!!!!

“You will never see warriors like this again!!! Enjoy the moment!”

Hailed by the man who brought the iconic character of Rocky to life, Tyson is considered by many to be one of the scariest and most violent fighters to walk the planet. He has a record of 50-6 (44 KOs) and is targeting knockout #45 against Paul even in his current state. He suffered a medical emergency in July that prevented him from making his original booking (stomach ulcer flare-up).

Look at Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul Netflix Friday, November 15 – Live at 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT.
