Pregnant teen and grandmother killed in unidentified home invasion in Vero Beach

The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office (IRCSO) has identified the pregnant teen and grandmother killed in a home invasion in Vero Beach.

On Thursday, IRCSO identified the pregnant teen as Shelby Baker, 19, and the grandmother as Amanda Baker, 68.

According to IRCSO, this is a shooting happened on Sunday around 3:45 a.m. at a home near Vero Beach on the corner of 23rd Place SW and 6th Way SW. As a result of the shooting, the unborn child, Indian River County Sheriff Eric Flowers, also died said on a Facebook video Tuesday.

Both the granddaughter, 19, and the grandmother, 68, were pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. An additional person was injured as a result of the home invasion, Flowers said.
