Law And Order: SVU Brings Back Kelli Giddish as Rollins in Fall Finale Promo, But I'm Seriously Concerned About Carisi's Hostage Taking

Law and order: SVU went in two different directions in the final episode of the TV program 2024of Fin And Bruno investigating the assault of a woman they had previously helped Benson helped Carisi against my better judgment in what seemed like a wild goose chase. To Benson’s – and my – surprise, Carisi’s suspicions about the appeal of a substitute teacher to children turned out to be correct. After taking victory in ‘Tenfold’, Carisi’s luck is about to get much worse in the autumn finale, with the positive side being that Kelli Giddish will come back if Amanda Rollins.

The latest new episode of SVU before the TV program 2025 kick off airs on November 21 and brings Giddish back for the first time since Rollins returned to the NYPD in October. Based on the promo, she will be worried about her husband in the episode for good reason. Take a look:

Apparently Carisi will make part of a hostage situation end purely by chance by being in the wrong place at the wrong time. That could bode well for other hostages, though, since he was of course a Special Victims detective for years before taking the bar exam and becoming an ADA. He should be able to keep a clearer head than most…although I’m concerned about the shot in the promo where he punches the wall with his bare hand.

As for the rest of the episode, called “Cornered,” NBC’s description gives a little taste of what to expect:

Carisi tries to protect two women held hostage in a tense confrontation between police and a violent thief. Benson and Rollins come up with a risky plan to get everyone to safety.

He may be trying to protect the hostage women, but it looks like he’s been taken hostage with them! If you pause the promo around the four-second mark, it looks like he’s gone into a convenience store to pick up some flowers and possibly some snacks, though it’s hard to tell what exactly he’s looking at. All in all, I guess we can only cross our fingers and count down the days until the fall finale airs.

Well, I guess SVU would Sonny really kill Carisi himself in the fall finale? Not really, but this could be something that affects him beyond next Thursday’s end credits. Additionally, he scored a victory in “Tenfold” when his suspicions turned out to be correct; Could that success have been a last good turn for Carisi before something went terribly wrong in the fall finale?

Well, for better or worse, I’m looking forward to seeing what the episode has in store. It’s always special when SVU brings back Kelli Giddish, and it looks like she’ll be appearing because of her personal connections to Carisi and Benson, rather than as part of her new gig as Sergeant Rollins of the NYPD Intelligence Bureau.
