1 dead after I-65 wreck in Fultondale

FULTONDALE, Ala. (WBRC) – One person has died after a fatal crash occurred in Fultondale Thursday afternoon.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, 57-year-old Aaron Christopher Lusk was killed after his car left the roadway and struck a concrete barrier on southbound I-65 near mile marker 265 just after 1 p.m.

Multiple lanes were closed on I-65 SB throughout the day just before the I-22 interchange.

ALEA said all lanes of I-65 reopened Thursday evening just after 5 p.m.

At this time, ALEA says the Highway Patrol Division continues to investigate the crash.
