Homeless man arrested after theft investigation in Penn Yan

A local homeless man was charged with petit larceny Wednesday after police responded to reports of theft at a village business.

Cody S. Jackson, 27, was accused of stealing a bottle of liquor and fleeing the scene on foot. Penn Yan police quickly located Jackson nearby and took him into custody.

Jackson was charged with one count of petit larceny and released with a ticket. He will appear in Penn Yan Village Court at a later date to answer the charges.
