This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, which airs tonight on ITV1 – but can now be watched on ITVX.

Jay Sharma (Chris Bisson) exacted revenge Caleb Miligan (William As) in Emmerdale after discovering that the ruthless businessman has scammed him out of thousands.

Caleb is getting ready for the opening of its new distribution depotwith Jai keen to invest after managing to squirrel away some money during his divorce from Laurel Thomas (Charlotte Bellamy).

As viewers of the soap know, he hid the extent of his wealth from his wife and gave the money to Caleb – believing it would be safe.

We saw it last week Jai becomes suspicious why he had no office in the new project, and demanded that his hidden money be returned to him.

In today’s episode, he sneaked into the depot early and pried open a safe with a spoon. Suddenly, Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) walked in and caught him red-handed – but he too was under the impression that Jai was an official business partner, so there was no foul play involved.

As the day passed, some villagers gathered outside for a glass of champagne and to hear Caleb’s vision.

An angry Jai confronted him with the documentation he had found, which showed that he had no influence over the company.

At that moment, the floor fell under his feet when he learned that the money from his divorce had been spent on building the new company – but Jai’s name was not on the books. He effectively controlled a much smaller shell company.

After making a bit of a scene in front of everyone, Caleb ordered him out and later found him destroying the warehouse with a forklift.

Jai demanded his money back, but Caleb wouldn’t budge. In a fit of rage, Jai charged at him in the vehicle and crushed him against a wooden pallet.

Ouch!

Just like things couldn’t get any worse for Caleb, his estranged daughter Stephanie (Georgia Jay) walked in, but for once had his side and told Jai to let him go.

Outside, the two chatted about her motives for arriving in the Dales. She admitted that she had heard that mother Ruby (Beth Cordingly) was visiting her brother Nicky (Lewis Cope), and she thought this would be the perfect opportunity to come and collect her inheritance money.
