West Boynton Beach man involved in fatal crash

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (BocaNewsNow.com) (Copyright © 2024 MetroDesk Media, LLC) — A West Palm Beach man is dead after allegedly running a red light and crashing into a pickup truck driven by a West man Boynton Beach. This was reported by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office BocaNewsNow.com that the crash – which killed Leonard De La Paz Ramos – occurred early Saturday morning.

According to PBSO, Ramos was riding a motorcycle westbound on Southern Boulevard within the outside center lane approaching Kirk Road. The driver of Vehicle 2 (V-2) – Patrick Pearce of Boynton Beach – was traveling eastbound on Southern Boulevard within the left turn lane. According to Pearce, he was turning left under green traffic lights when Ramos ran a red light and crashed his vehicle into the passenger door.

During the crash, the front of Ramos’ motorcycle struck the right front of the pickup. Both vehicles came to a stop at the intersection. Both drivers were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. Ramos succumbed to his injuries and died at 7:42 am
