Police find a loaded weapon in an open area in Dunkirk

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Kingston East police say they found a firearm in an open area in McIntrye Villa, also known as Dunkirk, on Wednesday.

There are reports that the Strum Ruger firearm was pulled from a hollow log in an open area during a police operation at 9:30 am. The pistol contained a magazine containing five 9mm cartridges.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.
