A red flag warning has been posted, with more showers coming this weekend

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Breezy trade winds will continue into the weekend. A slightly drier air mass over the islands will provide critical fire conditions in the leeward areas on Friday. A new band of moisture arriving on trade routes this weekend will boost showery activity again. Expect clouds and showers to concentrate over windward and mountain areas. trades weaken in the first half of the new week. The current long period of northerly swell will continue to drop through Friday and into the weekend.
