Nina Dobrev’s Surprise Engagement Glam included a last-minute haircut

Nina Dobrev opened up about what went into her surprise engagement day glam.

Dobrev, 35, said he was getting ready to be proposed to Shaun White via Instagram on Thursday, November 14. “Get ready with me for one Fashion dinner organized by Anna Wintour … At least that’s what I thought,” Dobrev shared via a video of himself wearing a sheet mask and eye patches.

After creating a dewy base, Dobrev explained that her makeup artist, Soo Park, “created a winged eyeliner look, paused for a quick sing-along, and then we decided to cut bangs in the middle of the glam, but had to covering my face so the hair wouldn’t fall on my makeup.

The actress separated her bangs from her face with a paper towel – on which she drew a smiley face – while her hairstylist: Dawson Hiegertworked his magic on her locks. The rest of her brunette mane was styled in beachy waves.

She then got dressed in a Chanel outfit with a sparkly button-up dress, polka dot tights and a black coat.

Dobrev explained that her team further flustered her by taking photos of her appearance, as she normally would before an event.

“I didn’t know what was waiting for me on the other side of the door,” says the Vampire Diaries alum flowed. “To say I was shocked is an understatement.” Dobrev also shared an adorable video of herself gasping as she opened the door and realized White, 28, was about to propose.

“I don’t think I’ve ever been more shocked or surprised or happier in my entire life,” she said. ‘I’m the planner in our relationship, so I was shocked that Shaun could pull this off without me knowing. Best day ever.”
