First warning days in effect Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for rain and thunderstorms, followed by the coldest air of the season.

THROUGH THE MORNING:

Increasing clouds tonight as temperatures drop. Expect lows in the upper 30s and low 40s.

THIS WEEKEND:

Tomorrow the sun returns. After a cold start, temperatures in Nashville will rebound nicely into the mid-60s during the afternoon.

Tomorrow night it will be chilly again under a clear sky. Low, 44.

A few clouds will pass over on Sunday. Sunday will be the milder of the two weekend days. High, 72.

NEXT WEEK:

Monday looks breezy and milder at times. Low, 49. High, 74. Clouds will increase during the afternoon. There will be a few showers and a few thunderstorms on Monday evening.

First warning days have been issued for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Occasional showers and storms are possible Monday night and Tuesday through Wednesday. Drive carefully as the rain continues. Wet leaves provide a much longer braking distance than normal wet roads and/or dry roads. Rain next week will be more disruptive than anything. Severe weather is not expected.

A First warning weather day has been issued for the much colder weather that will come behind the cold front. Thursday will basically feel like winter with highs in the 40s and wind chills in the 20s and 30s.

FRIDAY:

Nice start to next weekend, partly cloudy with a high in the low 50s.
