Gov. Greg Abbott announces Texas innovation grant recipient

TEXAS (KAUZ) – Governor Greg Abbott’s office announced that the first grant from the Texas Semiconductor Innovation Fund (TSIF) has been awarded to Intelligent Epitaxy Technology, Inc. (“IntelliEPI”)

The grant, totaling $4,120,000, is for the new 30,000-square-foot wafer production facility in Allen, Texas. According to the Office of the Governor, the facility is expected to generate more than $41 million in capital investments.

The governor’s office said IntelliEPI produces and sells epitaxy-based composite wafers used in telecommunications, photonics, radio frequency and microwave technologies and other high-value applications.
