A Missouri man will serve three years in prison for raping a 14-year-old Oklahoma girl

JAY, Okla. – A Missouri man wrote in his diary that sex with a 14-year-old Oklahoma boy would likely send him to prison. He was right.

Supplying drugs, alcohol and vapors to the netted teenage girl Brent Wesley Summers25, of Verona, Mo., to three years in prison in Oklahoma after pleading guilty to raping the drunk teen.

Summers, a former member of Colcord, pleaded guilty Thursday in Delaware County Court in Jay to second-degree rape and forcible sodomy with the teen.

Online records show two 15-year prison sentences have been suspended, all but three of which will run concurrently. He was also assessed $6,020 in fines, costs and fees. As a condition of his probation after three years, Summers must have no contact with the victim and must register as a sex offender.

An arrest warrant shows that Summers not only raped the teen, but also supplied her and her friend with rum, marijuana and vapes.

The victim’s mother was informed of the abuse in September 2022, through another person who had access to the couple’s diaries, prompting the mother to read the diaries herself, the affidavit said. Records show she went to police on September 29, 2022.

Written entries in Summers’ diary stated that he “loved her,” referring to the 14-year-old victim that “she was his best friend” and that they would raise a child together if she became pregnant.

The teen told Delaware County investigators that she “did not know if the sex was consensual because she was drunk,” according to the affidavit.

The affidavit states that Summers told investigators he gave the teen “a brief three to five second kiss on the lips. “

Summers’ journal entries

According to a probable cause statement, the first page of Summers’ diary is titled “What to Expect.” “

Summers mentions he may face a few years in prison, according to the affidavit.

“Are they going to support our relationship or are they going to hate seeing us together? I would say (it’s) 50/50 who wants to see me in jail because I fell in love with my best friend,” the diary entries read.

“Well, first of all we should declare that it was a consensus and that both sides agreed on it,” the magazine says.

Other journal entries concern the possibility of the teen becoming pregnant, the affidavit said.

The journal entries continue as Summers goes to prison and he is not around to raise the child. He writes that he “doesn’t want their child to grow up and visit him in prison.”

“So hypothetically speaking (and) your mother is taking me to court” and “she’s going to fight for custody of our child (and) we’re going to have to come up with valid points as to why she doesn’t deserve custody,” another diary entry states.

Summers’ notes detail the child custody battle and (mysteriously croaking) “leaving money” to the teen, saying, “You might be financially ready for a while,” according to the affidavit .

Summers’ diary ended with him saying that he loves the teenager.
