‘The strangest thing ever’ – Fans call for boxer to be banned as he bizarrely attacks opponent in undercard fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson

Fans called for Neeraj Goyat to be banned from boxing after his bizarre stunt when he faced Whindersson Nunes on the undercard between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson.

Paul and Tyson meet in a historic professional confrontation at the AT&T Stadium in Texas, with a 31 year age difference, but one goal: to secure a big KO in front of the huge crowd.

On the undercard, Goyat and Nunes met in a high-profile professional showdown, with little separating the two inexperienced stars.

Nunes was the underdog against the experienced Indian, who had 26 professional fights to his name and entered the match with 20 wins, 4 losses and two draws.

It became clear he was outmatched when the first bell rang, with Goyat on top from the opening bell.

But at some point the fight went viral on social media, with Goyat’s bizarre antics leaving fans stunned.

Nunes retreated to the corner as his rival piled on the pressure, but he decided to turn his back.

And when the Brazilian faced the corner of the ropes, Goyat decided to stand behind him and bizarrely push his hips towards him.

It was a move that simply left the commentary stunned and speechless, and fans around the world couldn’t believe what they were seeing.

One wrote: “That has to be the weirdest thing ever.”

Another added: “Nunes was humiliated for goodness sake.”

A fan continued: “Disrespectful! I wish he could punch so we could have seen a KO!”

Fans condemned the move, with another writing: “That was the worst fight I’ve ever seen, crazy that was the best they could come up with.”

One demanded: “A point had to be deducted.”

A viewer added: “He should definitely get banned for that.”

One end user concluded: “He should have been disqualified. Shocking to watch and a mockery of boxing.”

Goyat didn’t get any action that night and ended up raising his hand.

The Indian star punished his rival, who was simply out of his league but managed to survive the six-round fight.

He was awarded the wide decision on a 60-54 scorecard, in an all-one-way fight.

Goyat’s trajectory is remarkable as he has already created history by becoming the first boxer from India to be listed in the WBC rankings.

It was a huge platform, with the pair dueling on a night where all the focus was on the return of 58-year-old heavyweight legend Tyson.
