It’s Week 12 of Tennessee football, featuring No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers (8-1) travels to Athens to take on No. 10 Georgian bulldogs (7-2). With their seasons on the line, we ran through 100 video game simulations of the classic rivalry to see what the real outcome could be.

Anything can happen in college football. And so far this season, our EA Sports College Football 25 Simulations on PS5 have resulted in some exciting – often precise – possibilities.

However, this week’s game has extra stakes. If the Vols win, it could cinch the team’s berth in the College Football Playoffs (now ranked No. 7) and the SEC Championship Game. But a loss to Georgia could be damaging for the Vols.

Tennessee will take on Georgia on November 16 at 7:30 PM, a time not available in the video game. So we set the kickoff for 8pm and made sure the weather would be clear to match the Saturday weather forecast in Athens at the time of the simulation.

Here’s what EA Sports College Football 25 predicted in 100 simulations for Tennessee vs. Georgia.

Tennessee vs. Georgia: EA Sports College Football 25 Results

In this SEC rivalry matchup, the Bulldogs dominated with 74 wins, meaning the Volunteers won only 26 of the simulated matchups.

Most of Tennessee’s wins came by a touchdown or more, but a few were close. However, Georgia consistently defeated Tennessee by large margins, taking one complete blow in Game 36 by a score of 47–0.

Nine games went to overtime, but the Vols won only three of those games.

The Vols averaged 29.71 points per game and the Bulldogs averaged 37.86.

Tennessee average yards: 112.53 rushing, 280.24 passing and 521.87 total

Average yards in Georgia: 112.06 rushing, 344.44 passing yards and 576.34 total

Knox News reporter Mike Wilson predicts a 24-20 Georgia victorya score that matched our Game 62 simulation. Here’s what EA Sports College Football 25 predicts about the game.

  • Biggest UT victory: 44-20
  • Biggest victory in Georgia: 47-0
  • Highest scoring game: 57-55, Georgia (OT)
  • Lowest scoring game: 27-7, Georgia
  • Nearest games: Three games were decided by one point. Tennessee won Game 37 by a score of 24-23 and Game 78 by a score of 30-29. Georgia won Game 72 by a score of 25-24. In addition, 20 games were decided by two or three points.
  • Biggest surprise: This week there were eight games in which one or both teams exceeded 700 total yards. But in Game 79, Georgia became the first team to surpass 800 yards in our simulations, with a total of 829. Overall, both teams produced a lot of offense.
  • Most impressive plays: Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava threw to wide receiver Chris Brazzell II for an 87-yard touchdown in Game 8. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw to wide receiver Colbie Young for a 94-yard touchdown in Game 25. Tennessee wide receiver Mike Matthews returned a kickoff return for a 100-yard touchdown in Game 43. Georgia quarterback Carson Beck threw to wide receiver Arian Smith for an 86-yard touchdown in Game 98.
  • Most Valuable Players: Georgia quarterback Carson Beck took home the most MVP awards with 68. Only one Tennessee player received MVP: Quarterback Nico Iamaleava received 25 MVP awards during the simulations. Players from Georgia with at least one MVP: Wide receiver Dillon Bell, wide receiver Colbie Young, wide receiver Dominic Lovett and tight end Oscar Delp.

Final thoughts on this week’s EA Sports College Football 25 simulations

If these simulations are accurate, we’ll probably see the volunteers lose, but there are some things a video game can’t predict. The play doesn’t take the Vols quarterback into account Nico Iamaleava may not play in this match due to injury, and it is not expected that morale will be any different for Georgia after last week’s loss.
