A Wakefield High School employee has been arrested for a sex offense involving a student, police say

An Arlington Public School employee was arrested by police Friday for a sex offense involving a minor, according to officials.

Police began investigating an incident at Wakefield High School on Nov. 8 in which a teaching assistant solicited sex from a female student, Arlington County police said.

The investigation revealed that Darryl Ramsey Jr., 31, is responsible for the crime and that he was charged with taking indecent liberties with a child by a person in a supervisory or custodial relationship, according to police.
