Woman injured in shooting outside Walmart, Rome police say

ROME, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – A woman has been hospitalized after being shot outside a Walmart, according to Rome police.

Police said emergency crews went to the Walmart in west Rome around 10 p.m. Police said a “domestic dispute” led to a woman suffering a gunshot wound. The alleged shooter was almost witnessed trying to escape, but they were quickly apprehended.

According to police, the “incident is believed to be isolated between known parties.”
