Uttar Pradesh: A woman’s body stuffed in a suitcase, found on the Delhi-Lucknow highway

Police have found a dead body packed in a suitcase near the Delhi-Lucknow National Highway No. 9 in Hapur in Uttar Pradesh, officials said on Saturday.

Police said they reached the spot after receiving information about the dead body, which was spotted by some passers-by. The forensic team also reached the spot and took the body into custody. The woman’s body showed several wounds and bruises.

Information has been received about a body in a red suitcase on the side of the highway. The forensic unit was called and examined the body, which was sent for post-mortem. There are some injuries on the body. The woman’s age appears to be correct. It could be about 25 to 30 years since her death a day ago, it seems,” said Hapur ASP Vineet Bhatnagar.

The police have now filed a report and started an investigation into the matter.

The woman is yet to be identified and more details will be revealed soon, the senior police official added.
