Intervention in suicide attempts in Fuorigrotta

Officers from the Fuorigrotta Operational Unit intervened through Giulio Cesare where a man’s suicide attempt had been reported. The man sat on the ground and cut himself with a pair of scissors, injuring his arms. The officers tried to convince the man to stop his attempt without success, so they disarmed him and called for medical attention. The person was taken to San Paolo Hospital, where the would-be suicide explained that he had made a desperate attempt because he had recently lost his partner.
